2009-2-25 Engagement Shoot @ Palo Alto & Mountain View

I just loved the fact that Michelle and Collin decided to sign me up for their wedding after they have interviewed totally 8 photographers. LOVE THEM !

This engagement shoot was done in Palo Alto downtown and a park in mountain view. I always try to make usual shooting location unusual to impressive myself and clients. I like the downtown scene with interesting color shops and also the sunset view in a park in mountain view . How do you like the scene ??

2009-2-24 For wedding photographers : Alisha & Brook's Workshop

I particularly like the 1-on-1 consulting part that helped me on my pricing structure and work flow. They just made my career path so much easier. 2009-2-18 The Beautiful Crystal & David

I cannot express myself in word how much I love Crystal and David's images , Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous , everything from the emotions, the lighting , the posing, all images were taken with my 24-70mm f/2.8....natural lighting plus some using Lowel video light to warm up the skin tone a little bit. Fell in love with my subjects.

It is such my honor and I'm so proud to be published in the SF City Hall 2009 wedding brochure. If you have been following my post, probably you still remember in 2008 I've shot an awesome wedding for Sue and Andrew in SF City Hall. Couple months later, I got a news from my florist Annie Siu that the SF City Hall Marketing director had selected many of my images to be published in their 2009 Wedding brochure . and one of the magazine in New York is also planning to feature this wedding . 2009-2-16 WPPI 2009 pictures

It was an awesome 5 days tour for me in Las Vegas. Got an opportunity to attend a 2 days workshop with one of my all time favourite Australia wedding photographer Yervant, just can't describe the feeling.... shooting side by side with him and learned some cool photoshop skills from him. One of the reason I admire him and respect him so much is not just he is good in wedding photography, but he is also passionate about wedding photography and willing to share his knowledge and experience. Be able to learn from him for 2 days was like a dream comes true experience for me.

In this trip, I also got to know many talented photographers from all around the world , had a lot of fun. I also had a chance to see my mentors, Alisha and Brook again in the Kodak booth. They are one of the Top 10 wedding photographers in the world ~ American Photo 2007. Can't thank this couple enough for giving me great advise in my last year photography business, Alisha and Brook made my life so much easier and I'm so blessed to have not one, but TWO top 10 wedding photographers in the world to be my mentor in my career. 2009-2-11 Heading to WPPI 2009

I'm heading to the 2009 WPPI event( Wedding and Portrait Photographer International ) today and will stay in Las Vegas until 2/17 Tuesday. I'll be there for 5 days check out some new cool albums, network with some wedding photographers all over the world, also will attend some classes . Please stay tuned !! Its Vegas time baby !

2009-2-7 Chung Li Photography Gallery UNVEILED !!!

Ok, Finally, after months of planning /searching for locations, and another 1 month and 1 week of decoration, the new Chung Li Photography Gallery is ready to ROLL !!!

My new Photography Gallery is located in Belmont, California close to 101 and 280 . This is going to be the place for me to meet the wedding couples , showcase my enlargements and all kind of wedding albums / coffee book albums. At the same time , the best spot for me to hangout with my friends and all wedding vendors . I'm planning to have the Grand Little opening in March, stay tuned . 2009-2-8 LIve to shoot, shoot with Chung Workshop pictures

What a wonderful sunday to spend whole day with three passionate students at my Workshop. This is my first workshop in 2009 and at the same time, the first group of students to visit my new photography gallery in Belmont.

Everyone was so excited about the workshop and arrived early to my gallery while I'm still getting some complimentary starbucks coffee for them :) We spent the whole morning from 9:30am to around 1:00pm learning some digital photography concept and camera settings. With the help of the big TV and all the images on the wall, it just made the demonstration so much easier. We then went out for an hour lunch , after that , we start shooting outdoor from like 2:00pm to 5:00pm. We just love shooting outdoor in a beautiful sunday and applied those skills we learned in the morning. We then went back to my gallery for some photos critique and review everything we learned for the whole workshop. I had as much fun as three students Mely, Ryan and Sharon. It is just great be able to share my experience and help beginners to jump start their skills and ease their frustration during their learning process.

Thanks for everyone's support so far and after the first digital photography workshop on Feb 2/8 has been quickly filled up, I will have another 1 day intensive digital photography introduction class on 2/22 Sunday.

A brief description of what the workshop about.... It is a 1 day class (9:30 - 5:30pm) on sunday 2/22 at my new photography gallery / classroom located in Belmont . This introduction to digital photography class is designed for student who has little experience on using a DSLR ( Digital Single-Lens Reflect camera ) or a beginner in photography.

In this workshop, you will learn all the basic of photography such as ....

1) DSLR camera structure
2) Aperture/ Shutter/ ISO concept and control
3) Concept of depth of field
3) White Balance
4) Usage of different lens
5) How to choose a camera that fits your need
6) Get to know more of your current equipment
7) Basic photo retouching concept
8) Outdoor practise


It is an intimate class for maximum 4-5 students , we want to keep the class small so that everyone has chance to ask questions and interact, don't we all hate the boring traditional classroom learning environment ??? We all want to learn in a fun and relax way.

Bring your own equipment if you have, but not neccessary as I have three Canon EOS 5D and different types of lens for you to play with and practise.
Class starts from 9:30am , will have a break and we all go out for an hr lunch and then class ends at 5:30pm. The fee is $250 per person.

Former students were all surprised how much they learned in a 7 hrs intensive class with me and it is a real jump start for them.
